Job Introduction

Junior Digital Product Owner is responsible for one or more Omnichannel work streams setting, prioritising and evaluating the work generated by a software Scrum team in order to deliver impeccable features and functionality of the solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Help the Digital Product Owner to build the digital backlog with stakeholders requirements and prioritise based upon business value
  • Be responsible for gathering, defining and prioritising requirements of features for one or more Omni channel work streams
  • Work with Digital Experience team to ensure customer journey’s meet wider business requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Work with development and QA teams on refinement, estimation and planning for one or more work streams
  • Be responsible for the work stream KPIs and ensure these are monitored and in line with business cases
  • Create and maintain user stories with detailed acceptance criteria in lie with development planning cycles
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on and remove any impediments (blockers ) to progress
  • Assist in the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities for one or more Omnichannel workstreams
  • Regular communications to digital team on progress of workstreams
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Research and analyse competitors market, the users, to provide insight and recommendations to inform the roadmap for the product
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous working experience as a  BA or Junior Product Owner for 3 or more years, preferably in a digital/omnichannel role
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Experience in leading stakeholders to successful outcomes, through outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Creative problem solver who can find innovative solutions to business problems
  • Attention to details
