Job Introduction

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a talented Accounts Receivable Assistant to join us in a hybrid-working role. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our Cardfactory stores. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the receipt of all store bankings, reconciling incoming funds, and processing transactions on SAP.

Main Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of transactions including store banking, credit cards and paid outs  

  • Daily upload of bank statements to SAP system and reconciliation 

  • Ensure unidentified bankings are investigated & processed 

  • Running daily and weekly report to investigate suspected losses, manage discrepancies on cash bankings and credit card payments 

  • Complete tasks to set deadlines 

  • Supporting stores with alternative arrangements in the event of bank closures or missed collections 

  • Colleagues are the main stakeholder (internal) and there is a high amount of contact with stores via the phone 

  • There is a requirement to work closely with the wider Finance team and Loss Prevention. 

  • External stakeholders include banks and cash collection agencies 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams is essential.
  • Excel Skills: Ability to write basic formulas and manage established spreadsheets.
  • Organisation: Strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • Accuracy: High level of precision in work.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professionalism: Professional demeanor, especially on the phone.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and a flexible approach to work.
