Job Introduction

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a PMO manager to join our outstanding PMO Team!

cardfactory are seeking an experienced PMO Manager with a deep understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to simplify complex information for diverse stakeholders.

As the PMO Manager, your main responsibility will be to collaborate with the Head of PMO to ensure that projects deliver the required outcomes within the defined quality, time, and cost constraints. This involves adhering to cardfactory’s standard project management methodology and best practices, producing plans, documentation, and guidance for project teams throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with all organizational procedures.

This is a dynamic role where you will provide analysis to support decision-making, offer guidance on project processes, manage weekly and monthly reporting cycles, and maintain resource and financial controls within your program of work.

Based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible, hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in our team. Colleagues are required to work in the office for a minimum of 2-3 days per week, with the expectation of additional attendance when needed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Delivery team to ensure effective portfolio delivery
  • Promote best practices in kanbans, backlogs, JIRA, financial reporting, and delivery metrics
  • Support project/programme budget delivery
  • Maintain PMO as the ‘single source of truth’ for all projects
  • Embed and coach project control and governance
  • Conduct root cause analysis and log lessons learned
  • Manage cross-programme dependencies
  • Assist with project planning, milestone, scope, resource, financial, and change management
  • Liaise with stakeholders at all levels and prepare regular status reports for all business levels
  • Identify and support initiatives needing additional resources or governance
  • Identify, report, and resolve risks and issues while continuously improve portfolio and delivery processes
  • Manage delivery process systems (Triskell)

  • Ensure client sign-off at each project stage.
  • Adhere to legal, regulatory, and best practice compliance.
  • Role model with high standards, leading by example.
  • Deep understanding of PMO, PPM processes, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in the project development life cycle.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
