Job Introduction

We’re seeking a Commercial Finance Assistant to bolster our team! This role involves providing crucial support to the commercial team by conducting in-depth financial performance analysis and efficient data management. The tasks include aiding in the accurate and timely preparation of commercial reports, maintaining data integrity, and offering valuable insights that inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate reporting using PowerBI to identify trends and introduce improvements.
  • Supporting the finance business partner and the wider team with financial analysis requirements.
  • Producing the profitability report and Hypercare report to support the review of the store contribution and new store performance monthly.
  • Assisting with keeping track of our competitors to allow us to track any impact they are having on our stores.
  • Conducting testing and maintenance of planning and reporting tools and ensuring accuracy and integrity of data by maintaining robust data management and systems.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the wider commercial finance team and business, including Property and Business Development.

The Ideal Candidate

  • You’ll hold an accounting qualification or working towards one.
  • Commercial outlook and desire to understand the business beyond the numbers.
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills, and a desire to proactively adopt and use business insight platforms such as Power BI.
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication styles and confidence to influence a variety of senior stakeholders
