Repro Operator/Sheet planner

Job Introduction

Printcraft is part of cardfactory plc, a retailer with over 1000 stores nationwide. Printcraft manufactures the groups UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a forward-thinking business with the state of the art equipment operating a large site 24/7, we produce around ¼ billion items per annum.

We're looking for a Repro Operator to join our Printcraft facility for cardfactory. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the control of the repro and plate room departments, ensuring all processes and products are supplied just in time for other departments.

Your expertise in the latest software within repro will be key in maximizing all equipment to its optimum. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn foil impositions and produce sheeting plans for hot foil stamping, with full training provided.

The role is Monday-Friday working 37.5 hours per week at £16.41 per hour.

Main Responsibilities

• Utilise your knowledge of Heidelberg Prinect Operating system and Heidelberg Super setter output device.
• Managing plate output with precision and efficiency.
• Learning and mastering foil imposition for hot foil stamping and embossing after full training.
• Exhibiting excellent understanding of all aspects of repro, impositions, and templates.
• Demonstrating experience with Apple Mac computers and the latest software within repro.

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong familiarity with Apple Mac Computers and all related software
• Understanding the construction of templates and impositions
• Experience with Heidelberg Prinect and Heidelberg Super setter output device
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and a good knowledge of Health & Safety
