Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to join our IT department in a newly established position. Your role will involve overseeing the delivery and improvement of technical engineering projects and continuous improvement services, focusing on online platforms, digital solutions, and middleware. Working within a functionally aligned squad, you will collaborate with Product Owners, digital operations teams, and key stakeholders to ensure a reliable and high-quality experience for both internal users and customers. 

To be successful in this roe you will need a strong understanding of digital technology infrastructure, including cloud services (e.g., Azure), digital platforms (e.g., SFCC, SFSC), and networking

Smart working principles that blend onsite work at our support center in Wakefield (2-3 days a week) with working from home.

Main Responsibilities

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and governance standards
  • Collaboration with cybersecurity team to ensure compliance with relevant policy standards

Incident & Request Management

  • Collaborate on P1 and P2 issues
  • Define/manage infrastructure for performance and budgets
  • Plan capacity for current and future needs

Problem & Change Alignment

  • Support changes and sprint commitments
  • Refine ticket requirements and provide insights
  • Coordinate environments and release management

Continuous Improvement

  • Manage licenses and contract renewals
  • Set up new accounts/licenses and conduct testing

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support changes through IT forums and manage vendors
  • Oversee technology selection and contracts
  • Attend sprint ceremonies

Asset & Configuration Data

  • Manage IT budgets and invoices
  • Optimize budget for current services and growth

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure policy compliance
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong understanding of digital technology infrastructure, including cloud services (e.g., Azure), digital platforms (e.g., SFCC, SFSC), and networking
  • Proficiency in incident management, service delivery, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Budget management and financial planning skills
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance standards in IT

Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing digital technology services, with a focus on service delivery and improvement
  • Experience in incident and request management, including handling P1 and P2 issues
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity planning and infrastructure optimization
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within an IT or digital technology environment
