As part of the team reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you will support our Business Development and Trading teams. Your key responsibilities include tracking costs and benefits, managing budgets, and leading monthly cost centre reviews as well as financial modelling to underpin agreements. Success in this role depends on meeting financial targets, proactive risk identification, and support development of strategic business cases.
Located at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with a flexible, hybrid work model, colleagues are expected to work in the office for a minimum of two days per week with additional attendance as required.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead weekly trading and revenue reporting, working with Account Managers to support variance analysis and performance insights.
- Prepare and present updates in weekly trading meetings, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with Management Accounts and Business Development Team in monthly accounts reviews, ensuring accuracy and clarity of performance reporting.
- Lead the annual budget and in year forecasting process across all Partner accounts and new business pipeline, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy and financial targets.
- Build and maintain robust financial models for all new business partnership opportunities, supporting investment decisions and commercial negotiations.
- Evaluate performance of existing partnerships through regular analysis, identifying underperformance and recommending corrective actions.
- Support the integration of acquired companies through alignment of local partnership financials and performance metrics with the Group wide commercial strategy, ensuring consistent reporting and decision-making frameworks.
- Collaborate with teams from newly acquired businesses to understand legacy partnership models and identify opportunities for value creation and risks
- Collation and analysis of financial information for Group competitors and potential acquisition targets to expand and maintain central live valuation model.
- Develop and maintain a suite of KPIs to track financial and operational performance, ensuring visibility of success metrics and progress over time.
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities across the partnership portfolio and new business pipeline, providing actionable insights and influencing decisions that drive profitability and growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on commercial assumptions, reporting and decision-making.
- Provide indirect line management, to Junior Analyst who supports with the delivery of the Weekly Trading reporting.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified/Part-qualified finance professional who is commercially minded
- Experience in either Management Accounts or Commercial Finance roles.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, prepare reports, business case modelling and forecasting to inform decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex financial insights to non-finance stakeholders and collaborate cross functionally.
- Proven and demonstrable ability to build productive working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify issues and problem solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, demonstrating resilience and flexibility.
- Good base knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and investment appraisal methodologies.
- Experience in previous Business Partnership role is advantageous.
